Dear friends of AIM,
We thought it important to let the community know what AIM is doing during this crisis. Fortunately Duke Energy and the other utility companies have suspended disconnections at this time, this allows us to focus on our Food Ministry and making sure that the most vulnerable in our community have access to adequate food. As many of you know, we depend on grocery stores in surplus to support our Food Ministry. But now there is little to no surplus. In an attempt to ration our provisions, we have cut down our food distribution to Monday, Wednesday, and Friday starting at 9am.

We will be open and receiving donations Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8am-2pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am-2pm. We will have a bin outside to limit contact with donors. Items to purchase are canned fruit and meat, peanut butter, jelly, dried rice or beans, mac & cheese, and frozen meat.
Our largest fundraiser, the ALL IN Dinner and Silent Auction, has been postponed until further notice. However, the needs for our services cannot be postponed. At this time we are seeing on average 35 clients a day. 3 days a week at $100 a package is $3,500 a day. $10,500 a week. $42,000 a month.
