Green Pond Landing & Event Center will literally host the fishing tournament world during the first week in November.  The BASS Nation Championship is just 59 boats & $200,000 in economic impact, but it has more global reach than any other event Anderson County hosts.  Two years ago, BASS Nation attracted anglers from 48 of our 50 states.  It also saw teams from nine foreign countries, including three from Europe and three more from Africa.
 
In December, the nearly 200 boat Bassmaster Team Championship will visit Green Pond fir the first time.  The 400 anglers will generate an economic impact of $400,000.
 
2020 will be the biggest non Bassmaster Classic year in Green Pond’s five-year history.  On January 4-5, the Striped Bass Winter Classic returns.  With 100 boats and 200 anglers, it’ll generate an economic impact of $400,000.  Additionally, its anglers will donate thousands of pounds of food to the Golden Harvest Food Bank.
 
March will see two significant tournaments.  Anglers in the 70 boat Crappie USA Super Tournament will spend $140,000 before they leave town.  A new tournament, the Bassmaster College Series will attract 250 boats & 500 anglers.  Its economic impact will be $878,000.
 
In April, Green Pond will host $3.5 million worth of fishing tournaments!  It starts with the $1 million TH Marine FLW Bass Fishing League All-American.  Then comes the $476,000 Ray Scott Championship.  April ends with the FLW Tour Tournament, with its 156 boats and $1.9 million in economic impact.
 
This December 19^th is Green Pond’s fifth birthday.  Its economic impact will stand at $57 million.  By its sixth birthday next December, that number will be $62 million!
